Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat over medium heat. Add lean ground beef and diced yellow onion, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened and beef is browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet, stirring for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce along with uncooked tortellini. Stir until evenly coated, folding in half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Spread remaining mozzarella cheese over the top. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and switch the oven to broil on high, broiling for 1-3 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
