  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Vegetable broth is a great non-meat alternative.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic works too.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Fresh onions can be substituted.
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika Opt for smoked paprika for more flavor.
For the Coleslaw
  • 1 bag Coleslaw Mix Can swap for shredded cabbage and carrots.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can lighten things up.
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar Other vinegars can be substituted.
  • 1 tsp Sugar Feel free to omit for a less sweet profile.
  • 2 Green Onions Thinly sliced.
For the Wraps
  • 4 Large Flour Tortillas Can be swapped with whole wheat or gluten-free.

Equipment

  • skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • microwave

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by seasoning your chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Heat oil in a skillet, add the chicken, and cover with chicken broth. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Remove the chicken and shred it into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until fully coated.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and seasonings. Stir in the coleslaw mix and sliced green onions.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave for easier wrapping.
  5. Lay a tortilla flat, add BBQ chicken and coleslaw mixture, fold the sides, and roll up the tortilla.
  6. Optionally, toast the wrapped tortillas in a skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and slice diagonally to serve.
