Dough Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. In a small saucepan, warm milk and butter until melted, then pour into the dry ingredients with a beaten egg. Knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Allow to rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Filling Preparation
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface, roll into a 12x18 inch rectangle. Spread butter over the dough. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the buttered dough.
Forming Rolls
- Tightly roll the dough into a log shape, cut into 12 slices. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
Frosting
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls once cooled slightly.
