Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 pound Ground Beef use lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 medium Onion diced, yellow or white
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced, or substitute with 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice leftover rice preferred
  • 10.5 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup or cream of chicken
  • 1 cup Milk or Beef Broth for thinning the soup
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded, freshly grated for best melting
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked paprika for a twist
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Parsley optional, for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk or broth, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. In the greased baking dish, combine the cooked rice, beef mixture, half of the cheddar cheese, and sauce.
  6. Spread the remaining cheese on top, cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Optional: Broil for an extra 2 minutes for a crispy top, watching closely to prevent burning.
  9. Let sit for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
