  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups spinach fresh or drained frozen
  • 3-4 slices bacon cooked until crispy
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon additional Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 12-16 pieces mushroom caps large button mushrooms

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and clean the mushroom caps.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sauté the garlic in leftover bacon drippings and add spinach until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Chop the bacon and mix it with spinach, crab meat, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Beat the cream cheese until smooth and mix in the crab mixture and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Stuff each mushroom cap with 1-1.5 tablespoons of the filling.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, then bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving warm.
