Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add cheese tortellini, and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Allow to come to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat and stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, mixing until creamy and smooth.
  4. Gently add the cooked tortellini to the sauce. Toss for about 2-3 minutes to coat. Season with salt and freshly cracked pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and serve on warm plates, garnishing with chopped parsley.
