  2. Incorporate minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir ingredients together with a spatula or wooden spoon for another 30 seconds until evenly distributed.
  3. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while continuously whisking the dressing for about 1 minute to allow the oil to emulsify properly.
  4. If the dressing is thicker than desired, gradually add milk or water, starting with 1 tablespoon at a time, while whisking until reaching preferred consistency.
  5. For optimal flavor, cover bowl with plastic wrap or transfer dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
