Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes until light golden.
- Gradually whisk in warm milk, stirring for about 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Lower heat and add grated cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Add drained pasta to cheese sauce and stir to coat.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika if desired.
- Serve immediately or bake in a greased baking dish at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
