Ingredients
  

For the Salad
  • 1 head Green Cabbage Choose tight, crisp, unblemished leaves.
  • 2 medium Cucumbers English cucumbers are best.
  • 4 stalks Green Onions Finely chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill Chopped for flavor.
For the Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Sunflower Oil Can substitute with olive oil.
  • 3 tablespoons Distilled White Vinegar Other vinegars can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Fine Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Adjust to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a measuring cup, combine sunflower oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Whisk until salt dissolves.
  2. Wash the cabbage and cucumbers under running water and pat dry.
  3. Slice the cabbage into strips and place in a mixing bowl.
  4. Slice the cucumbers and finely chop the green onions.
  5. Chop fresh dill and add to the bowl.
  6. Drizzle dressing over the vegetable mixture and toss until coated.
  7. Chill the salad for 1-2 hours before serving.
