  • 2 cups Broccoli, chopped Fresh broccoli, steamed or boiled
  • 2 large Eggs Can substitute with chickpea flour and water
  • 1 cup Almond Meal/Flour Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs or oat flour
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded Can substitute with mozzarella
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh is best
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Optional; skip for baby servings

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut fresh broccoli into small florets and steam the broccoli stem pieces for 1 minute, then add the florets and steam for another 3-4 minutes.
  3. Drain the steamed broccoli and finely chop it, then transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  4. In the bowl, add in eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, almond meal, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and shape them into tots. Place them on the lined baking sheet.
  6. Optionally, spray the tops of the tots with cooking oil for extra crispiness.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  8. Serve with various dips like hummus, lemon yogurt dip, or avocado dip.
