Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes and toss gently with soy sauce. Coat with cornstarch and breadcrumbs.
- Arrange tofu on the baking sheet, bake for 25 minutes, turning halfway through. Leave in the oven for an additional 5 minutes after baking.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together gochujang, honey (or agave), and garlic powder until smooth. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the saucepan, stirring until thickened.
- Transfer baked tofu to a bowl, mix in half the gochujang sauce. Reserve the rest for serving.
- Serve with rice and fresh vegetables, drizzled with reserved sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
