Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well with a fork until evenly distributed.
  2. In a separate bowl, crack and beat the eggs until fully combined. This will act as the binder for your coating.
  3. In a third bowl, add Panko breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning. Mix them together until evenly dispersed.
  4. Take each mozzarella stick and coat it with the seasoned flour, dip it in the egg mixture, then roll it in the Panko mixture until fully coated.
  5. Lay the coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature.
  7. Carefully lower the frozen mozzarella sticks into the hot oil in batches, frying for about 30 seconds on each side or until golden brown.
  8. Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara.
