Preparation Steps
- Begin by finely slicing half a head of green cabbage, grating one medium-sized carrot, and dicing one small onion. Set everything aside in individual bowls.
- In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Allow the oil to heat for about 1-2 minutes until shimmering.
- Add the diced onion to the hot oil and sauté for about 2-3 minutes, or until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced cabbage and grated carrots. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add 2 cups of day-old Jasmine rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Stir well for about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, stirring well to coat the rice and vegetables fully.
- Once everything is heated through, serve your Cabbage Fried Rice warm.

Notes
Use cold cooked rice to ensure the grains remain separate. Don't overcrowd the pan to prevent steaming your ingredients.
