For the Protein
  • 1 cup Beef Can be substituted with chicken or tofu
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Carrots Julienne for quicker cooking
  • 2 cups Spinach Fresh for best texture
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Any color
For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce Low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil Optional for lighter dishes
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions Chopped, can be replaced with chives

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Japchae
  1. Soak sweet potato noodles in hot water for about 30 minutes until translucent and tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add protein and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until cooked. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add oil if needed, then stir-fry sliced vegetables for 5-7 minutes until vibrant and tender.
  4. Add drained noodles and cooked protein back to the skillet. Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir gently for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve warm.
