Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour and 0.5 cups of granulated sugar. Add 0.5 cups of softened unsalted butter, blending until resembling coarse crumbs. Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes until light golden. The aroma will fill your kitchen.
- Meanwhile, wash and hull 2 cups of strawberries, chop them, and mix with a small amount of sugar and a tablespoon of flour.
- Spread the strawberry mixture on the cooled crust, then sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top.
- Bake for another 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool completely in the pan. Whisk 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, and a splash of vanilla to create a glaze. Drizzle over the bars.

Notes
Fresh strawberries provide the best flavor. Mix just until combined for light, fluffy bars.
