- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add dried pasta and cook until al dente, usually 8-10 minutes. Reserve 3/4 cup of cooking water and then drain the rest.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant without browning the garlic.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese and enough reserved pasta water until the sauce is glossy.
- Season with salt and ground black pepper. Optionally sprinkle with additional Parmesan and parsley before serving.
