Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Bring steaks to room temperature by setting them on the counter for 30 minutes.
  2. Season the steaks generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides.
  3. Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil until it shimmers.
  4. Sear the steaks in the hot skillet for 3-4 minutes without flipping.
  5. Flip the steaks and add butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Baste the steaks with the garlic butter mixture as it melts.
  7. Once done, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  8. After resting, slice against the grain, serve, and drizzle with remaining garlic butter.
