Step-by-Step Instructions for Zucchini Lasagna
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients while it heats up.
  2. Slice zucchinis into 1/8 inch rounds and sprinkle with salt. Let rest on paper towels for 10 minutes.
  3. Pre-bake zucchini slices on a baking sheet for 10 minutes, then pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Mix ricotta, grated Parmigiano Reggiano, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and basil until smooth.
  5. Layer the baking dish with marinara sauce, zucchini, the ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 40-45 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes uncovered for a golden top.
  7. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with basil and serve warm.
