Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate chip cookie dough, ensuring it’s well-blended. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, press the cookie dough firmly into the bottom, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the caramels until smooth. Pour the caramel mixture over the cooled cookie layer, spreading it evenly. Allow this caramel layer to cool and set.
- In a separate saucepan, combine nougat ingredients over medium heat. Stir until the mixture reaches a thick consistency (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat, allow to cool slightly, then pour over the caramel layer. Spread evenly.
- Fold Rice Krispies into your prepared chocolate ganache mixture. Spread the Rice Krispies and ganache over the nougat layer.
- After assembling all layers, refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm. Cut into squares or bars using a hot knife.

Notes
Allow each layer to cool completely before adding the next. Spray your spatula with cooking spray to minimize sticking. Use a hot knife for cutting finished bars to achieve clean lines.
