Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of sugar with 2 cups of water. Heat over medium-high until it boils, stirring until sugar dissolves (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a large pitcher, add 4 cups of ice and 5 cups of cold, filtered water.
  3. Once the syrup has cooled, pour it into the pitcher with ice and water. Juice enough lemons to get 2 cups of lemon juice and stir to combine.
  4. Slice additional lemons and add them to the pitcher for presentation and flavor.
  5. If not serving right away, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving over ice.
