Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 3 cups Fuji or Granny Smith apples, diced
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
For the Chips
  • 1 can Non-Stick Cooking Spray or melted butter for brushing
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar (for chips)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (for chips)

Method
 

Prepare the Dip
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples with brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and transfer to a saucepan. Add water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes until apples are tender.
  2. Take ½ cup of the cooking liquid from the saucepan, whisk in cornstarch until smooth, then return to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Prepare the Chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping.
  2. Spray both sides of each tortilla with cooking spray, then coat with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Cut into wedges.
  3. Arrange tortilla wedges on a baking sheet and bake for 9-12 minutes until golden. Let cool on a wire rack.
Serve
  1. Serve the warm Apple Pie Dip in a bowl alongside the crispy cinnamon sugar chips for dipping.
