Step-by-Step Instructions
- Place quartered sweet onion at the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer corned beef brisket on top, fat side up. Scatter halved carrots and whole red potatoes around brisket. Pour in the beer.
- Add enough water to just cover the corned beef, ensuring the meat stays moist and tender.
- Sprinkle the included spice packet over the contents. Set crockpot to cook on low for 9 hours.
- After 9 hours, add quartered green cabbage on top. Switch slow cooker to high and cook for an additional 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Once cabbage is tender, remove corned beef, let it rest for a few minutes, and slice against the grain for serving.
