  • 1 cup Cooked Turkey Leftover or deli slices recommended
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked until golden and crumbly
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded or sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Softened for easy application
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Optional
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise Optional
  • 2 tablespoons Cranberry Sauce Optional
  • 1 sliced Avocado Optional
  • 1 sliced Tomato Optional

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and crumble.
  2. Slice or shred the cooked turkey. Aim for bite-sized pieces and set aside with the crumbled bacon.
  3. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  4. In the heated skillet, place two slices of bread butter-side down, layer with half of the cheese, turkey, and crumbled bacon, then top with the remaining cheese and another slice of bread butter-side up.
  5. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden and the cheese melts.
  6. Remove from skillet, let cool for a moment, then slice and serve hot.
