  • 12 medium Mushrooms white button or baby bella
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs panko recommended
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Optional Seasonings paprika or crushed red pepper flakes

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the medium-sized mushrooms under running water and remove the stems.
  2. Chop the reserved mushroom stems and sauté in a skillet with olive oil and minced garlic until tender.
  3. Mix sautéed stems, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and parsley in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  4. Fill the cleaned mushroom caps with the mixture, pressing firmly.
  5. Bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and let sit for a couple of minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
