Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the medium-sized mushrooms under running water and remove the stems.
- Chop the reserved mushroom stems and sauté in a skillet with olive oil and minced garlic until tender.
- Mix sautéed stems, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and parsley in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Fill the cleaned mushroom caps with the mixture, pressing firmly.
- Bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let sit for a couple of minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
