For the Salad
  • 1 lb Ground Beef season with salt and pepper
  • 4-5 cups Lettuce romaine or iceberg
  • ½ cup Dill Pickles diced
  • ¼ cup White Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
For the Dressing
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise can substitute low-fat
  • 1 tsp Paprika omit if preferred
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder or use fresh garlic
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp White Vinegar apple cider vinegar can be used
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Dill Relish Pickles

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, white vinegar, and yellow mustard. Stir in dill relish. Mix until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, for 6-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Drain grease and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large salad bowl, place lettuce as the base. Layer the cooked ground beef, diced dill pickles, and sliced white onions. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
