- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add sliced smoked sausage and cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned.
- Lower the heat slightly and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the diced onions, sauté for about 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add softened cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted. Gradually whisk in heavy whipping cream.
- Once thickened, stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed cauliflower, broccoli florets, and sautéed sausage. Pour the cheese sauce over and stir to coat.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
