- In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, whisking them together thoroughly.
- Add 1 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of fast action yeast, mixing well until evenly distributed.
- Gradually pour in about 550-650ml of lukewarm water, stirring continuously until you have a thick, smooth batter.
- Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm area for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Heat about 4 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until ready.
- Scoop a generous tablespoon of the batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil, frying until golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove fried Puff Puff and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm as a snack or appetizer, optionally with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or spicy pepper sauce.
