  3. Heat a skillet for 1 minute if non-stick or 3-5 minutes for cast iron until hot.
  4. Add oil to the heated pan and swirl it to coat the bottom.
  5. Sear the tuna steaks for 1 to 1.5 minutes on the first side.
  6. Flip and sear for an additional 1 to 1.5 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a cutting board and allow to rest for a minute before slicing.
