Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine plain Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped mint, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef and optional ground lamb, along with grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, and mint. Mix in spices and salt until just combined.
  3. With oiled hands, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the kofta mixture and roll into balls, placing them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  4. Cook by pan-frying in olive oil over medium heat, baking in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C), or grilling on skewers for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Plate the hot Lebanese Kofta Meatballs and serve with cucumber mint sauce and warm pita.
