Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Start by trimming any excess fat from the chicken and cutting it into bite-sized pieces for faster cooking. Arrange the pieces in the bottom of your slow cooker, ensuring they are spread out evenly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well blended. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Layer your chopped bell peppers and broccoli on top of the coated chicken. Cover the slow cooker with its lid.
- Set your slow cooker to low and let the dish simmer for 4 to 6 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken reaches at least 165°F (75°C).
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the chicken and vegetables and simmer the sauce in a saucepan until reduced. Return the chicken and veggies to the crockpot.
- Serve the Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken over rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.
