  • 1 cup fresh crab meat canned or frozen works
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 handful parsley chopped
  • 1 handful chives chopped
For the Garlic Butter
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add in 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Gently fold in the crab meat, followed by lemon juice and parsley & chives. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until warmed through; set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 6 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter, 2 minced garlic cloves, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the garlic is evenly distributed.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Slice the French baguette into 1-inch thick pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or brush with the garlic butter.
  5. Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and slightly crispy.
  6. Spoon the crab mixture generously over each toasted baguette slice. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
  7. Return the topped toasts to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Once baked, garnish with additional fresh parsley or chives and serve warm alongside lemon wedges.
