Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar Melts beautifully for a caramel-like taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon Fresh ground is preferred.
Icing Ingredients
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened for easy mixing.
  • 2 cups Icing sugar Adjust for taste.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Warm the whole milk in a saucepan until just warm, then sprinkle yeast over and let foam for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine foamed yeast, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, and flour, mixing until a rough dough forms.
Kneading and Rising
  1. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Rolling and Filling
  1. Punch down the risen dough and roll into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread melted butter over it.
  2. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the buttered dough.
Shaping and Proofing
  1. Roll dough tightly from one long edge into a log, slice into 12 rolls and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  2. Cover rolls and let rise until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
Baking and Icing
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, pour heavy cream over the rolls, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  2. Mix icing ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
