Dough Preparation
- Warm the whole milk in a saucepan until just warm, then sprinkle yeast over and let foam for 5-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine foamed yeast, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, and flour, mixing until a rough dough forms.
Kneading and Rising
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Rolling and Filling
- Punch down the risen dough and roll into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread melted butter over it.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the buttered dough.
Shaping and Proofing
- Roll dough tightly from one long edge into a log, slice into 12 rolls and arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Cover rolls and let rise until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
Baking and Icing
- Preheat oven to 350°F, pour heavy cream over the rolls, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Mix icing ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
