Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, active dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Allow to rest for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the large egg, melted unsalted butter, and salt. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour until a shaggy dough forms and knead until elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 60-90 minutes.
  4. Cream together unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon for the filling. Roll out the risen dough and spread the filling evenly on top.
  5. Roll the dough into a tight log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
  7. Beat together cream cheese and unsalted butter for the glaze. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, adjusting with milk or cream to achieve desired consistency.
  8. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over warm rolls after baking and enjoy!
