Cooking Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat, which should take about 10 minutes.
- Once the water is boiling, add your spaghetti and cook according to the package directions, usually around 8-10 minutes for al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add drained spaghetti to the skillet with garlic oil. Toss well and gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
- Stir in chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic for garlic butter, parsley, and Parmesan. Mix until well blended.
- Slice the Italian bread lengthwise and place the halves cut side up on a baking sheet.
- Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the garlic bread for about 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- If desired, broil the garlic bread for an additional 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Serve your warm spaghetti garlic bread immediately, garnishing with additional Parmesan and parsley.
