- Prepare your 8" round chocolate cake according to package instructions or your favorite recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup softened butter, 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, and 2 cups powdered sugar. Add 5-6 tablespoons milk and ½ teaspoon almond or vanilla extract, and blend on low speed until creamy and smooth.
- Line a pizza pan with aluminum foil. Once the cake has cooled completely, place it in the center of the covered pizza pan.
- Frost the top and sides of the cooled chocolate cake with the prepared chocolate frosting, aiming for a smooth and even finish.
- Unwrap the Hershey's Kisses and gently press them into the center of the frosted cake, creating sunflower seeds appearance.
- Take the unwrapped Twinkies and arrange them around the perimeter of the cake, standing them upright to form petals.
