Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside for 30 minutes.
  2. Dust your work surface with flour or cornmeal and roll out your pizza dough to a 12-inch round.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal, then spread tomato sauce over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then add pepperoni slices and dollop ricotta around the pizza.
  5. Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 8–12 minutes.
  6. Once baked, drizzle the pizza with hot honey and garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Slice and serve hot.
