Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the flank or skirt steak thinly against the grain. In a mixing bowl, toss the beef with soy sauce and chili flakes, and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak one rice paper sheet for 10-15 seconds until pliable.
  3. Place a basil leaf in the center of the rice paper, add marinated beef and vegetables, then roll tightly.
  4. Continue with remaining rice paper and filling. Keep wrapped rolls covered with a damp cloth.
  5. Serve fresh with sweet chili or peanut sauce on the side.
